clothes

OK because of my friend Jen and her raccoon obsession, I started looking at Gymboree's website and I am now obsessed with this line of clothing for Moira, http://www.gymboree.com/shop/dept_category.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374306238823&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524445974049&bmUID=1230744803120

They have the cutest turtle line for boys, I love turtles. I might be able to get away with some of it for a little girl. Maybe??

I also like this line of clothes too.

I like the first one the best though. I want to get the t-shirt that says "Daddy's Little Monkey." So cute, and Dave likes it too!

baby shower goods!

Here are a few pictures of the goods I got from the first baby shower I had in Michigan!!:)
Two more to come in March, one with my mother in-law and family and a few of her friends. The other one is a friend shower that our neighbors are giving us. Yay!!

update

All of my shower gifts are sitting on the dining room table. I need to sort through them, take off tags, throw away stuff I don't need, and then I really need to do some laundry. I want to wash ALL of our clothes that we had in Michigan. My mom smokes, she smokes a lot. The majority of the time she smoked in one room while we were there, which is good for her, but still everything stinks of smoke. It always does when we come home. I always need to wash everything, whether it's clean or not. UGH!
I really want to wash all of the baby's clothes too. Do I have to wash them in that Deft laundry detergent or can I just wash them in the regular detergent I always use? I think I am just going to do that. I have some 7th generation detergent that I was faithfully using for awhile, but I really missed my Tide. I know, I should be helping the environment, but Tide just makes everything smell so clean and nice. I can't help it!! So, I have to do all of these things, but all I want to do right now is just sit here and veg. Everything was so busy while we were in Michigan that it's nice to just sit in my own house and be quiet!!
We just got our power back, it went out this morning because it is so damn windy here today. We had left to go and take the rental car back and then pick up our mail from the week. When we came back, I noticed Ozy, our youngest cat, had something around his body when we walked in. When I examined him closer, I noticed it was the handle from a gift bag. He had been investigating the presents on the dining room table and got himself caught in the handle of the gift bag. He must have freaked out because it was ripped off and the gift bag and contents were all over the floor along with a few other items that he must have knocked over in the process of trying to get out of said gift bag. I laughed so hard while I was envisioning what must have taken place while we were away. He is the funniest cat ever!:)

OK, let's see! Christmas was nice. We had my brother and his fiance at my parent's house along with my Grandma and her new husband Al. My dad's sister, my Aunt Dianne and her husband Bob were there.
Dave and I got mostly books and a few little things along with some clothes. I got maternity clothes and he got a sweater and a flannel shirt. Not too much because what we really wanted was money for Lowe's to use towards redoing Moira's room. They gave us $100 and my grandma gave us $30 which we will use towards her room. Our wonderful neighbors, who didn't need to do anything for us, gave us a $50 gift card to Lowe's as well. We share garbage and internet with them, so I think they felt the need to do it. I keep forgetting to ask them for money for the garbage, and internet is no big deal. Anyway, that leaves us with $180 dollars for Lowes. I think Dave's Aunt and Uncle will also give us a gift card to either Lowe's or Home Depot as well. We told Dave's mom to tell them that is what we wanted again this year. They gave us a $200 gift card last year to Home Depot, so it would be awesome if they did the same again this year. We'll have to wait and see. They will probably send it in the mail to us.
We spent some time with my brother and his fiance Jessica. They are getting married in September and we barely know her. It was nice to finally get to know her better. One night we went out with them to a local brew pub and hung out. I got some really yummy homemade root beer. My mom and I also went shopping to spend my $100 gift card to Baby Gap that our friend Peter got for me. It was fun! I got some cute clothes for Moira. Dave and I also bought a Sirius Satellite radio using the $100 gift card to Best Buy from Peter. We spent a little more than that to get a good one, but it was so cool to have it for our ride back to Mass.

Hmmm....what else. I think that's it. I had my shower on Sunday, I will take some pictures of the gifts after I get them all organize and what not today. UGH!

Not sure yet what we are going to be doing for New Years. We might go to a friends house or we might just stay home and relax and hang out together. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow tomorrow night, so we aren't sure what to do.
That's about it. I am going to go and start some laundry.

Oh, and it's my birthday on the 1st. I am going to be 33! WOW! I feel old!

The baby is a............

showing her girl parts!!:) She wasn't shy!

Girl!!! YAY!! We are both so excited to be having a little daughter. I was able to go for my ultrasound yesterday. It was supposed to be at 2:00pm with my OB appt. at 3:45pm. We had a huge snowstorm coming in, so the OB's office rescheduled me for 9:45, but ultrasound couldn't. UGH! They told me to just stop in while I was there and they would see if they could squeeze me in. I sat maybe 10 minutes and they got me in. Lucky for me there were some no shows!!
Dave couldn't be there, our snow blower wasn't working, so his friend was coming over to help him. That was very important because I can't help him shovel!!! The technician put the picture that showed the results with a post it in an envelope that said "It's a girl. Congratulations!" When I got home, Dave and I opened it together to find out. So, her name is going to be Moira (MOY-ra) Bratton. The middle name is a family name on my mom's side of the family. It was my Grandma's maiden name.
So far we have received a baby gift from our registry from a friend of my mom's. It is for the shower we are having when we go to Michigan to see my family! Also our friend Peter gave us a gift card to Baby Gap so I can go buy some baby clothes!!:) He also gave us a Best Buy card, but that is more for Dave.

waving at us!:)

18 weeks

18 weeks, 2 more weeks and we hopefully get to find out what we are having. YAY!!
Here are my 18 week pictures! Still feeling good, headaches aren't as bad. I haven't felt baby as much this past week as I did the week before, but I know it's still pretty early to be feeling the baby anyway.
